SUMMMER CHALLENGE 2018

Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee?

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid,

neither be thou dismayed:

for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Summer Challenge is one of my favorite events on our youth group calendar. If you have never participated in a challenge before, I hope you will join us! Our theme this year is "FEAR LESS." During our challenge, we will memorize scripture, listen to sermons, read a book, and a few other disciplines that will help us grow spiritually. Our goal is to understand that we will not be fearless, but our dependence on God should ultimately make us fear less!

Our Reading Challenge

Born in 1949 in Beirut, Lebanon, Edgar Feghaly learned the realities of war as a young child. Saved after being hurled through the air from a bomb explosion, Edgar also learned the realities of God’s presence and peace.
With a consuming desire to serve the Lord and a deep conviction of God’s power to protect him, Edgar witnessed astounding miracles of provision, protection, and, most of all, the conversion of some of the hardest to reach people. Set against the backdrop of Middle Eastern wars, struggles, and chaos, his decades of ministry among Muslims is a gripping testimony to the protection of God and the power of the gospel.
